The entireinterior headliner was built using a nice grey Formica material. This looks super sharp, urable,as well asvery easy to clean. There are 3 additional interior camping lights in the van. Seat belts in the rear for the little ones. Nice oscillating fan in rear camping area thatruns off auxiliary battery.I just had a full professional detail done to the interior including shampooing all seats and front carpet.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION-Less than 1000 mileson rebuilt performance 1776cc with all the good parts, rebuilt and reworkeddual port heads. COOLING SYSTEM-This bus has a large remote oil cooler mounted between the frame rails and a high flow electric fan that runs of a dual battery system. This is a pretty trick set up. This is a must for driving in the summer time or in hot weather climates. This set up was built for hot summer driving in California. Thisoil cooling systemadds years to the life of your motor, ot to mention the piece of mindand the reliability factor....
Suspension- The van was professionally lowered for the perfect stance. The van still has plenty of ground clearance. Newer brakes, epacked wheel bearings, ew tie rod ends. With the addition of the built motor, owered stance, actory dics brakes this van handles more like a car and does not have the typical swaying feelof the typical VW bus. The motor hasplenty of power makingdriving at highway speeds easy.

Nice 6x9 speakers in rear as well as aspeaker mounted in factory under dash location. The bus is fully wired for a amp and subwoofers if you choose that is pre wired to run of aux battery. There is a portable food cooler that is hidden under the jump seat.
This is the one to have... 1971 was the last year for the upright bug style (upright)motor, ast year for the low light early bumper body style and first year of the factory disc brakes....
With the rebuilt performance 1776 motor, uspension and brake work this bus runs and drives more like a car than a bus. The additional power from the upgraded rebuilt motor andlowered stancemake this bus perfect for highway and long distance driving. So much work went into this bus its difficult to list every thing that has been done. Hundreds of man hours and thousands of dollars went into the build of this bus. This is truly one of the nicest early bay window campers on the market today. I am regretfully selling to fund other another unfishedproject. This bus can be used as a daily driver orforcarshows. The perfect centerpiece for any VW collection.
