The Story:
This Vanagon was bought by me in 2018 and lovingly restored to its present state. The previous owner kept it stored indoors for 20+ years, resulting in its excellent condition and incredibly low mileage. The body was in pristine shape when we got it, but the engine and interior needed an update. We had the engine rebuilt and brought up to modern standards by a vintage Volkswagen specialist. We had the entire body repainted in the original factory orange and a couple of dings repaired. My father and I meticulously restored the interior: got the stove, sink and refrigerator working, redid all of the upholstery and side panels, put in a new carpet in the front cab and put down a hardwood floor in the main passenger area.
The van is truly in excellent condition and drives great!
