Description:

1974 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

Super nice 1974 Type 2 Bus. Painted 4 years ago . New upholstery, carpet, panels and seals. Runs great, shifts smooth. Doesn't smoke or leak oil. Bus has been kept under a carport and out of the direct weather.
Panels and headliner and a few other minor things still need to be installed. I have all the parts needed to complete the interior. Sunroof works perfectly. This is a solid metal sunroof and not the cloth/canvas type.
This treasure needs to go to a good home. I will entertain reasonable offers. If you have any questions, let me know.. It's for sale locally, so auction will end if sold before the end of this auction.

Should you win the auction, I will happily let you look the bus over as you would with any vehicle before finalizing the purchase, which I prefer to complete in person, if possible. After inspecting the bus, and you decide you do not want to buy it, I will respect your decision. However, I would only refund $250.00 of your $500 deposit to cover my cost of listing and time involved.

I drove this bus almost daily from March through November.... Decembe, January and February in Virginia can be rather cold, and heat in these VW's is minimal. It fires right up, it runs smooth, it shifts nice, it doesn't smoke and it doesn't leak. I've taken very good care of her, and kept up with the maintenance and repairs. She is parked under my carport out of the weather. 4 years or so ago, I dropped $30,000 in new interior including the paint job alone was about $15,000. There's a couple small scratches in the paint, but nothing you really notice. If you're lookiing for something unique ... something that draws attention... something that ignites conversation... this is absolutely perfect for that... she's fun to drive... She has BONES ... it does not go unnoticed. and is an immediate conversation piece... Find a good mechanice who can service her if you're not able to do the work on a regular basis and this bus should last for many many years.
