1958 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

This 1958 Volkswagen Beetle is powered by the original air-cooled 36 hp, paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. It has 78,325 actual miles and runs strong, shifts perfectly and stops as it should. The original owner of this car is said to have owned the Volkswagen dealership in Arizona where he added many bells and whistles. He owned it till he passed, it was then transferred to the beneficiary who had a complete brake job done prior to selling it to a lady in California. She stated that it needed nothing, but for good measure she had a complete tune up done, valve adjustment and bought 5 new Firestone gum dipped tubeless tires prior to my purchasing. I had it shipped here in Florida, it currently sits in the garage and I’ve driven it for pleasure putting approx. 1000 miles on her. This beetle is a real head turner. Since my ownership, the only other things done were purely cosmetic:1. I completed the painstaking task of removing layers of yellowed clear coat from all ext. the chrome2. the removal of excessive under body coating. Doing this proved to reveal like new original pans, the entire underneath of the car is in remarkably fresh condition. The nuts and bolts and every single piece of mechanisms are like it came out of a time capsule. There’s Absolutely zero rust anywhere to be found other than the typical superficial rust on the exhaust muffler, the chrome tip’s show some pitting. The paint looks good and appears to be the factory # L245. It does show a few imperfections. But overall still nice and shiny. The glass is all original glass and great condition. The original leather upholstery is in amazing condition, there are no rips or tears or holes . It does have a couple small discolored spots that one could possibly remove. The mohair headliner is all in tact, and shows its age.Other Equipment includes 15″ factory painted two-toned steel wheels that are dressed with “made in west Germany” beauty rings and the original VW hub caps, rubber-lined running boards, chrome bumpers with over riders and back up lights, rear view mirror anti glare brass visor, dealer installed courtesy lighting in glove box, trunk and engine compartment, Abarth “patent pending” performance exhaust system, dealer installed flashlight under dash, dealer installed “fasten seat belt" lights that flash when the emergency brake is up, This Beetle is now offered with a reserve on behalf of the current owner with a clean California title, registered to June 2024.
