vw karmann ghia convertible,excellent mechanical condition. clean, no rust
1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
mechanically excellent. recent new muffler, carburetor rebuild, major tune-up. tires less than 5000 miles on them. i bought the car with 55000 miles on the odometer in 2005. the motor was rebuilt at that time and now has about 40000 miles on it. brakes are good. electrically functions well, clock works. roof works easily and well. some age discoloration on white roof. carpeting covers floor, but is aged. glove box works, windows works, rear window intact but not connected to roof. front seats in good repair. upholstery adequate, but there is a 2 inch tear on the drivers seat. rear bench is upholstered and intact, but missing the backrest. spare tire good, gas tank good, under front hood is clean. underneath pans intact and without rust. lights all work, including light on rear view mirror, brights, and emergency lights. has automatic antennae which functions unreliably. sony radio works and has a 10 cd changer. heater works as does rear window defogger. no significant dents or dings. paint job is several years old, but still clean, without chips or rust.
