I have a very unusua, hard to fin, 1982 Volkswagen diesel Vanagon for your consideration . One family owned from new in unbelievably sound original condition . After checking it with a paint meter I believe it has at least 90% or more of its original paint . No floor or frame rus, underneath is very clean and solid as is the suspensio, (has a couple surface rust spots under a couple window gaskets) . Super nice original interior with a Blaupunkt indash AM/FM Cassette with a matching Blaupunkt graphic equalizer the headliner is in great shape and the carpet is nice except the rear cargo area piece is MIA but it has a mat from a newer SUV back there . It has four brand new tires on the original steel wheels with four new Bug style hubcapsi (two original hubcaps in back) . Recent new brake, injection pump and more . It runs and drives well but with 52 horsepower it’s not a speed demon . It does drive straight and stop well and all the lights are working . The glow plugs work as designed and it starts every time . The shift linkage is a bit loos, but you get used to it quickly and all gear’s engage with no problems . It even has the requisite Grateful Dead decal in the back window . Auto Check lists an odometer discrepancy which I don’t know why but when you look the van over it most certainly appears that the displayed mileage is correc, if not lowe, the title shows it to be correct mileage, and it very well was a mistaken key stroke when information was being entered . If you’re looking for a nice diesel Vanagon I think you will be hard pressed to find a better original one .
