FOR SALE - 165K miles

My mom purchased in 1985 and it has been in CA the entire time. I am pretty sure the original owner kept it in CA too. It had AC but that was removed sometime around 86-88. It hasn't been driven much since 1996. Still runs smooth, and starts easily, I replaced the rear shocks and bushings last year. Obviously needs paint, bodywork, interior, etc. The front and rear window rubber was replaced last year. Top and headliner are in very good condition(not original). Front end was lowered a bit, used a kit from Top Line (I think).

1979, the final year for the German-built Beetle, saw the production of just 900 Epilogues. 1585cc engine with fuel injection, 4-speed manual transmission, and VDO clock. As of January 1980, when the final German-built Beetle rolled off the manufacturing line, 21,529,464 had been produced, making it the longest-running production vehicle ever based on the same platform. All Epilogue Edition specimens of the final Beetles, which were convertibles, were built in 1979.
