1970 Transporter set up for some Munich Germany city event- staff official city delivery vehicle. This bus has had a fun eventful history on both sides of the world ;-) Currently registered and with clean title in Washington state and resides at our home just 20 minutes outside Spokane Washington in Coeur D’Alene ID.

You are bidding on an iconic VW bus with the Westfalia camper famous Z-Bed in the rear and built in day camper cabinetry. It has the 2/3 split front bench seating and is in really nice original shape considering its 53 years old. The bus has some remaining decals from a Munich Germany event possibly Oktoberfest but I cannot determine for sure. The really amazing thing about this bus besides mostly original paint and interior is how well she drives down the road, just purrs and handles beautifully. Undercarriage as expected is solid and clean and not gobbed up with undercoating.

Exterior:
• Still retains its original vw Brilliant Blue paint scheme. Most paint is original with some touch ups, we re-touched the bumpers and wheels.
• Complete and functional Z-Bed recovered in tasteful suede canvas comfortable material. Folds out in rear cabin with rear cushion for a comfy bed.

• New curtains matching with a spare one if you want to add one to cargo door.
• Newer tires (whitewalls are on inside)
• Nice roof rack and roof has a functioning vent *Doors open close and lock with keys as they should +front windshield has a crack under the Munich Transportation Departments decal and we have a new windshield on order but have not had installed yet. We didn’t want to remove the city event staff decals.

• Runs, drives and handles really well, with recent engine 1600cc rebuild along with clutch/brakes/exhaust system and more..

Interior:

Split front original seat is in great shape with all seat belts in tact. The floor in the cargo area is in really nice shape as is all of the interior. Front floor has couple small metal patched areas but overall good shape. Side panels are wood and wood/panel board ceiling area.

• Aftermarket Digital classic style MP3 stereo with aux inputs and new Pyle Speakers in front cab
• Looks like all the Munich Germany decals are vinyl and still in very nice shape so should be able to take those off if you wish, but we like them and it gets tons of lookers and thumbs up wherever we have taken the bus.

Mechanical:
• Runs and drives really well
• Recent full inspection by VW service shop, everything mechanical in good working order couple lights will need new bulbs and blinkers switch is typically a bit funky, we are slowly getting to those items sorting them out ;-) The windshield wipers are functioning.
• Fresh transaxle service and oil change
• shifting working well
• Weber carb set up runs great
• Clean and nicely detailed engine compartment. (see pics)
• Serviced transmission, great if highway driving is in the cards
