I have over 90 pictures - please feel free to email me, I will send pictures of the car and all of the parts associated with the sale. I am selling a 1968 Beetle project that is good for a restoration or parts. Unfortunately, the car doesn’t have a title – the chassis doesn’t match the shell in terms of VIN number but they’re both from a 1968 118xxxxx Beetle.

The car is not an ‘Autostick’, the decklid was just from a donor car that I pulled out at a swap meet. This project is a fairly good survivor Beetle in Pennsylvania with Royal Red paint. The pan and chassis do have surface rust on them; but no holes or cancer. I believe that the chassis is an original Royal Red one, but, please take this with a grain of salt as I can’t confirm. I put a good set of tires on the Beetle that have strong tread on them and no rot. The rims though seem to be letting air out, they could use some TLC and properly mounted.

Below is an honest write up of pricing, I always aim to be fair in my pricing and priced stuff for swap meet prices. I did invest money into this project but wanted to create a sale to get some money quick for something else. I am not saying this as a sales pitch (I am the seller, I know), but I do believe that as a whole the Beetle is priced as a ‘good’ deal with the defects highlighted and listed. Defects: The Beetle was involved in a front end collision at one point in its life, so please inspect it either in person or I can send any videos that you want. There is some rot by the wheel wells and the VIN number on the chassis and shell are not married. Their production runs are both 1968, but the chassis is earlier than the shell and would’ve been from the winter of 1967.
I am pricing it off of similar listings online (I won’t directly reference them) but in comparison, I am including more spare parts than those listings. I included an itemized list to highlight the ‘good’ in the project but also at the time of sale we can cross stuff off and use it as an itemized checklist. The prices listed below aren’t me parting it out, just highlighting the value of the car and the package as it sits today. The Beetle will need to be trailered home; if you’re adventurous and local you can try flat towing it home. I am including a tow bar with the Beetle sale that I have as a spare.

Unlike some sellers, I won’t upload 2-3 pictures and make you do the guesswork and try to hide things. In my non-seller opinion, there’s more ‘good’ than bad with this car and plenty of value. Not interested in parting out at the moment, prices were to illustrate project.
