A Rare 1968 VW (Type 2) Double Cab Pickup

Adult Owned and Driven ( in Good Ole Dry West Texas ) for the Past 24 Years.

Used Only as a Recreational Vehicle for Family Vacations, Outings and Events. Hence the Low Miles Driven during those 24 Years.

It has an OEM 1500cc Engine. It is not the original Engine, which Had 99,800 Gently Used Miles, But is an Engine that was completely Rebuilt in Late 2002 By The Local VW Dealership. They Started the Rebuild Using a New Block, and did a Complete Rebuild of All Parts.

Currently The Odometer Shows 9,467 due to Miles Driven ( 11,467 )

Since The Overhaul 20 Years Ago.

The Engine and 4 Speed Manual Transmission are STRONG !

Just had a Tune-up in January 2023, including Rebuild Carb, New Fuel Pump and New Battery installed. As always, Done by the Local VW Dealer, Who happens to be a Personal Friend of The Owner of the VW.

All maintenance for the Past 24 years has been done at the VW Dealership.

Vehicle Had a Complete Repaint in February 2002, and a New Set of Body Rubber.

14 inch Tires all have Good Tread.

Spare Tire Mounted under the Front Seat.
