1977 VW THING Safari 181 - Military Spec - Very Rare. This vehicle was a special order made in the VW factory in Pueblo Mexico for the Mexican Military. The main difference is the permanent hardtop. It is in really good shape and runs great. The engine is spotless. The chassis and body is very solid with a few surface rust spots. There is no major rust at all. The ignition is hardwired. It works fine but I would wire it back properly. The headlights need a dimmer switch. The glass in the doors have some chips and cracks.
As you can see its in great shape and any repairs are simple.
