1991 VW Volkswagen MK1 Cabriolet Cabrio Karman Edition White on White 2 Door

Price: US $8,000.00
Description:

1991 Volkswagen Cabrio Karman Edition

This vehicle has a "Rebuilt" title. It was backed into in a parking lot on the front passenger side during the previous ownership off the vehicle. The front right fender, headlight and grill had to be replaced but there was no frame damage. All repairs were done with OEM parts but the repairs were considered higher than the value of the vehicle at that time. I have driven the car for nearly 4 years and the car drives perfectly. You would never know it was ever damaged

This VW Convertible is a west coast vehicle and is currently located in Las Vegas, NV. I acquired the vehicle in 2019 for my daughter as a car for her during high school. It was her daily driver and is SUPER reliable.
It has Power windows, Kenwood radio Head unit with MP3 / AM / FM and Bluetooth, Air Conditioning (needs a recharge) and features a push start ignition and an antitheft kill switch hidden the glove box.
The car was painted in 2020 and the vehicle has absolutely no rust anywhere.

Included with the car are the exterior side trim pieces. It currently has a red pinstripe where the trim pieces go and I bought the trim pieces to install but never got around to it. You can either leave the pinstripes or remove and install the trim pieces on either side.
Full service was recently done on the vehicle in 4/2022. Fluids, Filters, etc. (all service record paperwork is included)
The car starts up every time and runs smoothly, the engine purrs. The vehicle is automatic and was my daughter's vehicle for high school and has been driven cautiously with no accidents.
The Car cons:
- The car has a slow oil leak (tiny drops over time) - Probably the oil pan gasket or could be the rear main seal
- Driver's side window switch needs to be replaced or the terminals cleaned. The driver's window motor was replaced less than 2 years ago so it's not a major issue and definitely related to the switch because sometimes the driver's window goes up/down and sometimes it gets stuck in the up position.
- Driver's side tail light bulb needs to be replaced. I have the bulb and will include it with the sale.
- Inner headlights are missing the holding clips that secure them to the front grille. Currently they're held in by zip ties. These clips are kind of rare so you must source them online or from another Cabriolet.
- To make the car into perfect condition, in addition to the above listed light repair items the car could use a new paint job with all minor body dings and minor fiberglass cracks bodywork (pictured) should be repaired
I have the lowest cost shipping company on the market if you need the vehicle transported long distance.
