1969 Volkswagen Beetle

Up for sale is a 1969 VW Beetle.

Engine is a Subaru EJ18. Starts right up and runs good. Transaxle goes through the gears just as it should. There is a bluetooth device that plugs into the OBDII port that is mounted below the rear seat on kick panel that allows you to use your phone to monitor RPM, speed, temperature, etc. Once warmed up, it seems to stay right around 210-212 degrees when driving. I’ve seen it go up to 220ish, then come right back down as the fan/thermostat do their job.

Wide 5 disc brake conversion front and rear. Stops great.
It has been made to look like a pre 67 including front bumper, fenders, headlights, and tail lights.
Solid pans. Under battery has been patched. Haven’t seen any rust issues besides the surface rust you can see in pictures in a couple spots.
Headlights, brakes lights, and turn signals all work. Wipers are not currently working.
It is bagged front and rear with Accuair air management system. Front beam is a 6” narrowed PanDraggers beam. Also has a pie cut to give front beam a little more clearance. When airing all the way out, the tank doesn’t have quite enough capacity to go all the way back up on one tank, so you do have to wait for that.
Cons: There is a slight fuel leak where the fuel return was routed to go into the filler neck, so there is a fuel smell at the moment. It is on my list of things to do but not sure I will get to it before it sells. Should be a very simple thing to resolve. Interior is decent but definitely not perfect (Red floor mats pictured are from a different car and not included) . While it runs good, I think changing the plugs may make it run a little better (it's been doing a lot more sitting than driving lately). Decklid is included, but is not mounted. It should easily mount with a decklid stand-off. I’m sure I’m forgetting some things.
Price just lowered to $10,500 firm and will be listed at the price for a short time before I make a few changes to the car and raise the price.
