1969 Volkswagen Type III

1969 Volkswagen Fastback project

I picked up this Fastback a few months ago with intentions of building a lowered patina driver but plans have changed and I’ve decided to put my energy into another car. It’s a very complete car that has been parked since 1984. I have a clear Colorado title in my name.

The body is very straight and looks to have most of the original paint. It still has the dealer badge from Vern Hagestad Volkswagen in Denver so I assume it has been in Colorado all of its life. It has typical type 3 the rust in the outer rockers and the top corners of the front fenders but that’s the extent of the body rust. The floor pan has a little rust under the battery but that’s it.

The interior could stand to be redone but it’s complete and usable as. The carpet is in good shape and the front and rear trunk liners are both present.

The engine is in the car but is looks like someone started to take some parts off of it. I have no idea of the condition of it so I would assume it needs to be rebuilt. It has a bunch of parts with including what looks like all of the fuel injection components as well as the exhaust and engine tin and some other random spare parts like gauges. I have a set of dual weber 34’s for it that I will include with the sale.

The car would be a fun, easy project. It rolls and steers. The tires hold air and the parking brake works. I try to take pictures and write descriptions that honestly and accurately represent cars I sell. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.It is located in Arvada, Colorado. I am happy to sell to overseas buyers. I don’t offer shipping but I will be happy to coordinate pickup with your shipper.
