Vehicle DetailsCar was a barn find 12 years ago. Solid body and clean undercarriage. Runs and drives great! I have over $6000 in parts in the car. Vinyl top seams along driver and passenger doors are pulling apart a bit but when driving with the top down and covered it is unnoticeable. Vinyl replacement goes for about $200-300 online. I also have most of a 16V Scirroco engine built on a stand with just about every part needed for a 16V swap but don't have time to complete. This car would continue to be a fun project car or reliable car to tool around in during the nice weather months.
Current Modifications:
Sitting on Newly reconditioned ATS Cups 15x7. The wheels and new tires are worth about $2000. I have the original steelies as well and will include with purchase.
-Replaced front and rear shocks/struts with Koni Orange, Vogtland springs.
-Replaced front discs and pads as well as rebuilt rear brakes completely (shoes, drums, all hardware)
-Installed front and rear upper and lower stressbars.
-Replaced the exhaust system from the cat back with 2.25 pipe and magnaflow muffler.
-Installed new bushings and a short shift key to get rid of all the play. Also replaced fuel filters, air filters, etc.
-Just replaced fuel pump, most of the fuel lines.
