1973 Volkswagen Thing

Selling my vw THING. It is an awesome little running driving car. Get LOADS of attention. If you do not want your pic taken, r to be waved at this is not the car for you. It was painted Pink by a hospital in chatanooga TN for breast cancer awareness events. The paint and body are in pretty good condition on it. Has a few small areas of surface rust such as around the hinges on the windshield. Has a few cracks in paint i have pictured and has some bubbles on the very bottom qrt. They painted the inside and out pink except under the trunk and engine bay, hose are red. As someone had painted it red at some point. Its original color is orange. It isn't a show winner, ut it is still in really good condition, reat cruise in car, ill def. win peoples choice at a car show. It presents very well, ust not a show car. It does have the original gas heater up front and spare. Tires are in excellent shape as are the brakes. It stops very good. Engine cranks up every time, t is the 1600. No smoke, O end play, ood little motor with a new starter. After you have driven it a while it does turn over a min before it starts back up. but its a vw lol. Seats are white leather with pink piping, as black carpet. Floor pans are in great shape as they have been replaced. However they were replaced with thick flat metal and some point. The little thin shield under the front pan is still there and has some rust as pictured, ut is nothing structural . Beam and all are very solid no rust. Top is in pretty good condition. ALl windows look good with minimal scratches. Top goes up and down like it should. Main problem with top is on the drivers side where it buttons as came unsowed all the way from front to back as i have pictured. It is a vw THING So yes, t has wind noise and air leaks with top up, ad an older gentleman look at it and complain about that the other day. All lights, rake lights and signals work. Wiper motor works but passenger side wiper is not hooked up. A great car for the money for sure, ard to find, nd really stands out with the color.
