1966 Manx style dune buggy, brand new build, under 40 miles. This great buggy is a new build that took longer than I planned therefore I know it isn’t prime time to sell with all that’s going on but I know this new build will sell at a number I can live with. These dune buggy hold fantastic resale value instead of depreciate like the $30k side by sides. So here’s the whole story, the frame and pan are new plate steel with a 1.25” square tube reinforcement around the whole frame. There are 2 X members across the bottom. The transaxle was rebuilt HD by a 50 plus year VW transmission specialists ( he ships his work all over the country. The engine was completely rebuilt by a like 50 plus year VW gur, the engine is a rebuilt bone stock duel port 1600. Just the right amount of chrome and accessories to set off the engine. The engine has break in oil and needs change in 300 miles. The reason I chose stock is it really all the power you need in one of these plus makes it a easy driver for the wife. You don’t have to worry about keeping rpm etc. Just drive it and enjoy. If you have to have more power you can upgrade it to a 1835 or up for a very reasonable price. New carburetor, brand new battery, new clutch, full brake over haul including master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake shoes and kits. Plus some lines and rear hoses. New headlight buckets and lights. Fuel line, clutch cable, gas cable are new. Dash full operation. Shopping for the just right front turn signals still. The paint is good but not perfect has a few chips and a couple of blemish but nothing major. The gentleman interior is easily taken down to just paint buy simply pulling a tight fit apart in case you want to get wet The surfboard is not included. The rear engine cage is included but not installed. The tires need replacement as they are old and I leave those things up to the new owner to choose, also the seats will come not installed they are adjustable however the seat placement is very important to make fit to you. I am short so I would need to add 1 to 1 and a half inches to get the right height however a taller person it probably a direct bolt on. All safety items should all be working however I am still tweeting things, oh the wiring is new also. So this could be the one for you.
