Looking for something different, something NO ONE else has? Here it is!
Rare Transvair Kit on a 1962 VW bug. It uses the Corvair Tranaxle with a 3:55 Posi and a 140 Horse 4 carb engine out of an SCCA Corvair.
It was modified in the early 70's and features a fabricated rear suspension system utilizing a GM 4 speed transaxle, brakes, etc..
Engine is a modified 1967 Corsa racing engine utilizing the 4 carb intake and hooked to a 3:55 Positraction rear transaxle.
Front suspension is a Hybrid assembly featuring Nitrogen Dampening, with complete adjust ability for height and spring rate.
The Body is rust free and always was, the paint is from the 70's and is not perfect but still looks great at shows.
Interior is a 7 out of a 10, good use a new rear seat cover. All gauges and lights work. I have all the build notes and documentation, along with past history of the car.
Get in and HANG ON, it will scare the S##T out of you when it comes out of the hole! Fun to drive and very dependable. I have owned it for 3 years and looking to slim down my collection.
