Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia; condition is used; in good condition.
Very clean and original Westfalia. All original interior in very clean great condition. Van runs well. Clean title. Turn key ready to drive. Starts easily each time. Had a tune up last summer. Stock 2.1L, 4 cylinder water cooled engine.
Last trip was a 6 hour road trip from Utah to Idaho did just fine. But like all older VW with an original engine they are not very fast. This is a 33 year old Volkswagen and drives as such. On hot days 90 - 100 degrees going up hill oil pressure warning light comes on and you need to let it cool down for 15 minutes or so before you get going again this is an oil pressure issue the only known issue. I have driven the Westflia around town with no problems and drives well. Garaged through summers and winters. After sitting over night when starting the Van you must let the van warm up a few minutes before putting into drive just to let the oil warm up a bit just as with any older car. Other than that the Westfalia drives good. Air condition unit not hooked up. I have the a/c unit you will just need to install it.Tent canvas in very good condition no rips; seen in picture. Some wea, but seems to be in good shape overall.Odometer stopped working. Current reading is 39,423. Should read 139,423. Could use a new set of tires.


At minimum hoses/propane gas lines/inlets/outlets, good cleaning of interior, things like that unknown if working I never needed to use them. As far as I know they should all work just fine. Unknown if fridge works as propane is not hooked up. All Headlights, and rear lights work, running tail lights/blinkers also work. Missing table that tucked behind driver's seat.

Both front seats swivel. Some seem rust that we can see. If I was to keep the van I would absolutely address the seem rust first and for most, just some advise for next owner. These Westys are becoming harder and harder to find in good condition.


A good option for someone that doesn't want to spend 80 to 95k from places like Go Westy. Rather an affordable option that can be worked on overtime and enjoyed!
I do recommend winning bidder consider having the item towed/trailered back if not local (due to simply not knowing how well the Westfalia will do on a long distance drive - it's only been driven short/local distances and longer distances of up to 6 hours long trips since we've owned it.) With any 33 year old vehicle never know how it will do on a long trip.

Still love this Westfalia but bought something bigger and faster and just don't have room for it otherwise would keep it.

I've only driven the Westfalia a limited amount but I have tested it at highway speeds and stop and go city driving.
