1970 Brazilian bus type 2 with 15 window deluxeVolkswagen in Brazil started producing in 1957 the type 2 known as vw bus or "Kombi", the split window model continued to be produced until 1975 while in Germany it was remodeled to the bay window in 1967.This vehicle was recently restored in Brazil and imported into the United States in 2019. Only 500 miles were driven since its restoration. The restoration process included bringing the car to bare metal and rebuilding it entirely while upgrading parts to give extra comfort and safety.Thermal acoustic insulation was installed in the entire floor, sides and roof together with upgraded high quality wire loom to be able to install properly an air conditioning system.The A/C has a panel control unit with vents under the dash so as in the back top over the trunk, it keeps the car cool even on Texas summer.Engine upgraded to 1600 dual port fully revised and fine tuned. The engine has all the tin and it is in excellent shape, upgraded screw in type valve covers, modern distributor, upscale ignition wires. It comes with a Solex 30 fully rebuild carburetor connected to the stock oil type of air filter.The transmission is smooth and precise - considering the limitations of an old school bus. The vehicle can keep up with traffic at 60 miles per hour with no problems.All the dash buttons work, including the lighter. The car has the original in dash volkswagen AM/FM radio that is not connected. In its place there is a under the dash bluetooth SD/MD USB unit connected to two speakers hidden under the dash panel. The air vents open and close properly. There is a fire extinguisher behind the driver seat.Suspension is smooth using new shock absorbers and the steering is tight.The interior is a master piece with high quality plush gray upholstery in all 3 bench seats and 9 band new seat belts (it fits up to 9 people!!) with custom side armrest for the 2 back bench seats. A console was installed beside the driver seat fixing a common problem with these older vehicles of not having a proper storage location for cell phones, wallet, keys.Full headliner and 2 courtesy lights for front and back.All of the rubber seals were replaced.All metal and Chrome is new or is excellent shape.The window glasses are original with minimal scratches. The front headlights are the original Cibie with upgraded led's front and back.Tires are as good as new with white wall bands, 14" original wheels painted in the same beige color as the top side of the car. Chrome hubcaps and rim covers.The paint job is still as good as new. The color scheme is bottom bermuda blue and beige top.There is absolutely nothing to fix on this car, it is great and comfortable to drive attracting a lot of attention and thumbs up everywhere you go!Vehicle located in Cypress/TX and available for inspection.
