For sale is 1968 VW Doublecab, I bought back in 2015 from OK and did most of the work to it so I can answer any questions you have. The doublecab works great and gets a lot of attention and generates lots of smiles. The 1600cc engine runs great with no leaks. I have a folder of my receipts and previous owners, this was VW dealership parts bus in Oklahoma originally.

Issues with Doublecab
Dash pad has two cracks
Metal dash had rust repair and coated with POR-15, but rust left dash pitted
When cold, sometimes 2nd is stuborn to get into, once warm no issues
Pops fuse on occasion
Body repair could have been finished better, there area areas where you can see the repair
To sum up the Doublecab, it is a fun drivers quality vehicle that is rare and gets a lot of attention.
