Description:

1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

This car is back on the road for the first time after being kept in a shed since 1984. This is one of the most solid original Ghias' you will ever see.Get in & drive as is or have a solid base to start a very restorable Ghia to work with. As is, this car has cleaned up nice with just a wash and some other minor detail cleaning. The paint has not been buffed out & certainly has plenty of hidden shine which will be left to the next owner to leave as is or buff out. There are various spots of surface rust / patina yet is a very solid & sound car.
It has an extremely solid body and floors with virtually no rust. The only real rustis under the driver side rear fender below the bumper which you cannot see unless you look under the car ( see pics). The floors, rockers and door posts are all solid & in great shape. The nose is straight & never been hit!
The original seats are an excellent condition. The engine is very original. The car was completely gone through by Vintage Works in Safety Harbor, Fl. and the following was completed.

It runs great and drives better. Tight steering and smooth shifting give it a very nice ride. This car would be a very easy restoration or drive it as is....Finding convertibles in this original condition is rare...They are only going up in value.
