Hi, up for auction is a 1979 Volkswagen Dasher Diesel Two DoorOne Owner All Original Paint and Interior. ARare Find! The Dasher has only logged 123,000 since new which as a diesel engine is consideredto bebarely broken in!The Dasherhas been a Northern California car it's entire life. Bought locally in the San Francisco bay area at the Carl Carlsen Volkswagen Dealership in Palo Alto,California. The Dasher is in remarkable condition. The interior is in near perfect condition and is 100% original! The seats look perfect as does the headliner, door panels and carpet. The Dasher is still in it's original paint (Diamond Silver Metallic) and although it looks great and isextremely clean, it does have a very smallblemish on the drivers door and drivers front fender,and roof, please see pictures of the Dasher,nothing major.All glass is in excellent condition as the Dasher is in total. Never in a accident! All doors, hood and rear hatchback close with ease and all body panel gapsare perfect. The Dasher has been in covered dry storage, and this is why the Dasher hasfaired so well after all these years. Front wheel drive with a 1.5 Liter inline four cylinder diesel engine, with four speed manual transmission.The specs estimate fuel mileage at 50 miles per gallon. The Dasher was well maintained prior to being stored. This is a unmolested all original Volkswagen Dasher, even the radio and clock work!Clean California title in hand as well as original keys, original owners manual as well as allservice/maintenance recordsof work done to the Dasher. The engine turns over freely, the engine is NOT seized or stuck. This Diesel Dasher is SMOG EXEMPT. The have not tried to start the car, I would not anticipate there being any issues with the engine.
