1978 Volkswaan Transporter 85% restored, runs and drives
1978 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon
1978 Volkswagen Transporter, I bought this van 3 years ago and started fixing it up. It is an automatic fuel injection, runs great, drives great. Can be driven and enjoyed just as it is. I have a lot of time in labor to get it to this point, but life brings new things so sadly have to sell. She is about 80% restored. Here is a list of new items I had installed into van.
New sheet metal:
Front fenders with steps
Rocker panels
Rear quarter panels
Rear valance
Jacking points
Its had all holes repaired in floor.
New mechanical items:
New brakes pads
New brake calipers
New brake shoes
New drums
New copper nickel brake lines
New wheel bearings
New plugs
New battery
New dimmer switch
What it needs to finish it. A paint job and a bit more sanding, and it needs a new fuel vent hose on gas tank. It leaks when full, but not at 3/4 or below. And the last 2 jacking points replaced, I have new ones just need to be welded on. This vehicle will not come with a title as Maine does not require titles on vehicles 1994 or older. I will send a signed bill of sale and any other paperwork your state requires so you can register it.
