‘71 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible rolling chassis with transmission.
1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
1971 Karmann Ghia convertible rolling chassis (NO ENGINE) with original transmission and parts. The good: convertible top and rear window in very good shape, but headliner could stand to be replaced. I have 2 brand new floor pans that I can include for $500. Seats are in good condition, but driver seat has 2" tear near shoulder area. New battery. Doors are in fantastic shape. New complete interior carpet set. Glass is good throughout the car. All gauges worked, and dash is original with small crack near center speaker. All lights are in very good shape, and rear light assemblies are new. Comes with extra spare tire including VW hubcaps. No frame damage, and doors shut nicely. Original tire jack and tire inflator. Gas tank in great shape, but could use sandblasting and paint. Steering is good without any play. The bad: needs new front end (refer to photos for specific area that needs attention), needs heater channels, and the lower quarter panel sheet metal from the bottom to approximately 10" mark is rusted requiring extensive work. From the 10" mark to the top of the rear body, it's in good shape...definitely reusable/salvageable or possible full restoration depending on your sheet metal skill level...I have no experience.
I found the car in Upper Peninsula Michigan in a barn which sat for 37 years. Clean title.
