The Beetle needs no introduction as it is probably the worlds best selling cars and quite particularly the longest running one-design automobile as the shape really never changed beginning in the 1930's. The "Super Beetle" began production in 1971 and was a standard Beetle just a little larger offering more cargo and leg room. The engine being used at this time was a 1600 CC with twin-port cylinder heads putting out a whopping 50 HP, nearly double of when the... Beetle first came on scene. This particular Super Beetle is a the last year they made the larger version and is a absolute joy of a car to be around. This car was consigned recently coming out of 23 year ownership. The car was restored in 1996/1997 with new paint, floor pans, mechanicals and interior. The odometer was replaced in 1996 and piecing the info together puts total mileage of the car since restoration at about 5,000 in the over twenty years. I have all the receipts, picture history of restoration, owners manuals, two keys, service manuals and car cover. This has been a very cared for beetle that is ready to be enjoyed instantly.
