1974 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

Up for sale is my 1974 VW van. This bus is a definite head turner. That might have something to do with the roar of the V8 350 automatic engine. Yes, you heard that correctly! In addition there is also aluminum heads, intake and holley carbs. Gear drives, headers and exhaust cut outs.
Exterior & Mechanical
The van was already restored when I purchased. I was told the restoration was about 3 1/2 years ago. The mileage cannot be confirmed, but I was told it was an in town cruiser and they put less than 10,000 miles a year on the engine. Estimated mileage is around 30,000. The odometer currently shows 18 miles.The van has and S-10 rear end and front disk breaks. All lights, turning signals and wipers are in working order. There are a couple small rock chips/flaws, but for a 40+ year vehicle the body looks nice. I have done my best to show those small little flaws in pictures. The back lock and Volkswagen emblem need replaced. The total cost for both is around $80. The speedometer, gas gauge and radio are currently not in working order.
Interior
Blue and white striped vinyl interior in great condition. Perfectly matches the two tone paint job. Also has a padded center console. The driver side molding on the door is a little loose, but an easy fix.
Please know that I am trying to be as specific as possible about the listing. I have only owned this bus for two months and am sad to sell, but it has not been driven much in the last month. We endured major flood damage to our basement at the beginning of this month and are now having to focus our time, effort and money to repairs on our home. Since I have not owned the van long please realize that there might be some questions I do not have the answers to, but I will do my best to answer as honestly as I can. This bus is a lot of FUN!! I really want someone to enjoy it.

Winning bidder will need to communicate to seller with 24 hours of bid. A non refundable deposit of $500 is to me made within 48 hours of auction to paypal. The remainder of the balance is to be paid by financial institution cashiers check within 7 days. Once the payment has cleared arrangements for pickup/shipping can be made. For shipping all fees are the responsibility of the buyer. I am more than willing to meet a carrier in a convenient location for loading of the vehicle. I do have a clear Iowa title in my possession. That will be mailed certified to the winning bidder after funds and have been received.
