I am offering this car FOR SALE for a friend both locally and here on eBay Motors. The BUY NOW price is not posted. IF uwould like to make an offer before the reserve is met, just give me a call at 601-669-0609. I will be selling it AS-IS and a non-refundable $500.00 deposit is due immediately following the auction and remaining balance within 3 days...NO EXCEPTIONS.
Now for the car. 1977 VW Super Beetle Convertible. The odometer reads 02340 but I am figuring 102,340 on the body. The engine has been changed from Fuel injection to carburetor and freshened up recently. The turn signals are in-op and the WW are on a toggle switch. I have read where this is a common problem on this year Beetle. I also noticed the RR taillight needs a bulb.Everything else works. The rear seat is original ( vinyl material and all). The front buckets are cloth but look factory. The carpet and vintage floor mats are in great condition. This would make a great car to drive and restore a little along the way . The only body filler that I can find is in both rear fenders. It has been painted at least 2 times before in the colorof whiteThe convertible top looks almost new the inner headliner has one small hole ( about the size of a quarter) in the passenger side sail panel.
From 20 feet, the car looks perfect. Bu, when right up on it you can see the things that need attention. Sorry folks but this IS NOT a $16,500 car,but it is well worth what I want . Feel free to make a offer, all I can say is no thank you. Third party inspections are welcomed and encouraged before auction end. This is a great car for the money. Please do not hesitate to call me either at the number above.Again, selling as-is running, driving, with very little to no rust.
