Up for sale is a 1981 VW 14 Window Bay Window Bus with deluxe interior. These are pretty rare to find in 14 windows, you probably have not seen one before. I turn many head as I cruise down streets with this one. The late production ones had some features that the early buses never came with. This bus received a full restoration about 7 years ago now. Gets ton of attention at the cars & coffee meets.
This bus is in really good condition and fun to drive. It is loaded with deluxe interior, power brakes, radio, and retractable seat belts. The body is straight as an arrow. All doors, trunk are all aligned like they should. This bus I has all new door mounts, new door rubbers, all new chrome pieces, new windows, all new lights, bumpers, and handles. As well as brand new tires.
The engine is a 1500cc with a single upgraded carburetor mounted to a 4-speed transmission.The interior was also redone. Beautiful black/green upholstery covers the seats and the doors are covered with green and black liners. The roof of the car is lined with a bright white headliner. This bus was sand blasted, and repainted to a forest green bottom and cream color top half.Take a look at all the pictures provided. Look underneath the car, door jams and the body is very solid, always garaged kept.
