1956 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

1956 Volkswagen Oval Window. SoCal bug 1776 CID. Car rust free hot rod
This bug was always an AZ car until about 7 years ago, and it's never been on the road here in Michigan during the winter months. So no rust, anywhere or on the common areas of older beetles such as the pans, trays channels wells, firewall frame head batt box etc etc, it's very clean.
It has had the SoCal treatment, being lowered with the torsion bars to a height I lik, but it can be easily changed higher or even lower. It has Empi wide fives on it that look great, it has a fresh 1776 with Mofoco Heads, It has great power to weight ratio, with approx 1600 miles on the engine since it was new, it also has dual Empi carbs. I had an exhaust built for it, that has the Meg pointing toward the drivers side rather than the stinger out the back at shin height, which It had at one point but I got sick of banging into it.
The car has the original deer fir upholstery in it that lets off a little hair as you crawl around in it! Interior is not perfect but good daily driver quality. It has the original headliner but has newer side panels and floor carpet. The paint has several blemishes here and there along with scratches from being used and one big paint chip in the drivers door and front of hood down low. The car is a blast to drive and gets a lot of attention wherever it ends up, plus a lot of thumbs up on the road as you go. It has been very reliable but is 60 years old so consider that, plus the odometer and horn are not working. I currently have the car insured Hagerty and was appraised at $24k and is insured for that value for $400 annually so it's economical to drive.
Additional pics or videos of it running upon request for serious parties.
