1971 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic
Say Hello to Siobhan.
She's a 1971 Superbeetle Convertible with 101,528 original miles on her. She was originally purchased from a dealer in Michigan and towed behind a motor home. Obviously the top will need to be replaced, however, she just had new brakes all around and the 1600 dual port motor is strong. I have the U channel for the rear of the car that keeps the cable for the top taught. The pictures are indicative of her condition, there is some rust under the back seat, however there were metals welds done prior to my ownership. The radio has a detachable face plate, wipers work as well as all the lights. Since this is the first year of the Superbeetle, she still has the smaller wheel base and the short dash. She does have the McPherson Strut front end. Body panels are good as you can see in the pics as well as rockers and dog legs.
