1977 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper Bus
1977 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia
Westfalia camper with lots of bonuses.
Could use some cosmetics but mechanically in excellent condition.
We would drive her cross country in a heart beat.
SOLAR panel mounted to roof that charges the newer auxiliary battery with inverter powering household outlets in the camper. Exterior RV electric hookup outlet.
Hippie decor all done in decals. Not difficult to remove, or keep/add to it. Before the decals she was repainted by previous owner in Mustang muscle car green, bright original Marino yellow still underneath.
They also removed and burned all the cabinets.
Another FULL set of cabinets purchased and available, set in, not secured, need some laminate work. Multiple interior after market fans. Pop-top was new when I bought it in 2012.
Sink, water tank, pipes, faucet included (just needs pump). No stove in this model (this is a good thing; better to cook outside and not stink up the bus, and no hassle with on-board, non portable propane tanks). In-cabinet-Cooler instead of fridge, again, this is a plus, IMO.
Camel colored Ultrasuede upholstery. Significant amount of original green plaid fabric will be included in full price offer, probably enough to recover seats with original green plaid. As well as original green curtains and child cot (not poles). More-functional custom made black-out curtains also included.
Rear and bunk cushions are double thickness for extra sleep comfort.
Center front seatbox included with original plaid intact.
Excellent stereo included, just needs remounted. Great sound.
Blaze-cut fire suppression system installed over engine, but also has new fuel lines.
ENGINE:
Excellent condition. 2 liter fuel injected. Completely overhauled in Phoenix before driven to WA last year, minimal driving since, just to maintain. Newly rebuilt fuel injection from Tracy, California.
Rebuilt transmission less than 5000 miles ago by AZ transaxel, one of the best in the biz. Tires <5000. Odometer has not worked since I bought it in 2012. Gas gauge accurate when full but indicated empty when near half full. Speedometer works.
Lots of extras in this deal; Parts, pieces, tools, furnishings, fabrics... I'll throw in the essential book "How to keep your Volkswagen alive".
Includes original 1977 purchase paperwork, and most maintenance receipts since then, too.
Reason for Sale: To put in the hands of a loving new owner/family willing to take the time to update the little things she needs, and to fund restoration of my '64.
Live the Dream!
