Produced by Classic Motor Carriages of Hallandale, Florida, this little convertible features a GREAT running VW Beetle four cylinder enginem mated to a 4 speed manual transmission, Cragar GT chrome wheels with good rubber, working gauges and is being sold with a clear and clear California title in my name.
Offered here on ebay at NO RESERVE......this is a fabulous find........for less than the price of the sales tax alone on a new Beetle convertible!
THE BODY AND TRIM
The fiberglass exterior of this 1970 Gazelle is in fair to good condition overall. The paint has a decent shine along witha fair share ofvarious nicks and small scratches and other blemishes one would expect of an almost 50 year-old vehicle. The underside is quite clean as well.
THE INTERIOR
As I hope is articulated in the photos, the interior of this VW replica is in FAIR condition overall with carpets torn out, worn wood and upholstery. Also the door latches could use some attention.
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This 1970 Gazelle starts easily with superb running engine and excellent shifting transmission, solid and secure braking, solid tight steering and decent suspension. Frankly I have only driven it as fast as third gear around the neighborhood.
