1985 water cooled VW Bus

1985 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon standard

I purchased this in 2014, in upper Michigan, odometer read 136k when I got it,I wouldsay I put 12,000 miles on it prior to top end rebuild and New rebuilt transmission from German Trans Axle/still has warranty on tranny, if I had to guessI'd say actual mileage would be just under 199k max.I have transformed this vanagon into somewhat of a camper. Runs great, rebuild was done in the winter of 2017, upon completion we have relocated to Tennessee drove to here and have been back up to Michigan and in November of this year with no issue, road tested and great...Prior to the rebuild I had driven it to New Mexico and back. AC not workin, compressor is only 2 years old. has a few dings, paint chipping, drivers side windshield has a crack approx. 9" long in it .only has seen one winter to my knowledge. Confidence level in this vehicle is very high, I would not hesitate to drive this across the country, basically turnkey ready. Solid Oak removable/repositioning roof racks w/tie down eye bolts. Bike rack included. Date on the Transmission from German Transaxle is approximately march of 2017, comes with 2 year or 24k warranty that I think is transferable. New pistons n cylinders oil seals new gas lines, radiator heater core ignitions switch fuel pump water pump starter alternator. CV joints, tires like new, new muffler, Basically have gone thru the whole van. I had a Gentleman from the west coast who is very knowledgeable with VW's leading the way on this project. Ilove this van and hate to part with it.
