1965 VW Bug Beetle Drag Car
1965 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic
This is a 1965 VWBug that has beenset up for drag racing. We had it on the track last year with a 2050cc motor and we were running high 13 in the quarter mile.
Weput the 2050cc motor in a BAJA we had, o the drag bug has a stock single port 1500cc in it now. Everything else is the way it was when we were racing it.
The bad:
It needs some body workas you can see in the pictures but the body all in all is straight.
Themotor has an oil leak, ts a VW.
The Good:
Disk brakes on the front
Fully adjustable front beam
Heavy duty swing axle trans mount for racing
A lot of the body mounts and brackets have been strengthened
Electric fuel system
New carpet, eadliner, oor panels, ront seats and back bench
The body has been chopped 4 inches and the body has "Freddy Fat" fiberglass fenders
Front tires are stock dimensions on aluminum wheels the back tires are 275 50 15 drag radials.
