Here is an excellent and rare custom 1969 Volkswagen Squareback Baja with some recent upgrades/improvements. This year the suspension was raised a bit for better tire clearance. The Type 3 wagon is powered by the famously tunable air-cooled flat 4-cylinder engine linked to a 4-speed transaxle and finished off with a stinger-style upturned performance exhaust. The exterior melds the flat black paint and gloss red pinstriping of the traditional Hot Rodding scene with chrome headlight eyelids, luggage rack and requisite surf board of the custom VW realm. Front and rear chrome bumpers are equipped with bumper guards..The red interior features a classic bamboo package tray with hula girl, Baja blanket seat covers, VDO gauges and a pushbutton AM radioDual rearview mirrors help keep an eye on the road or tasty waves. The Squareback rolls on lowered suspension and steel 4-lug wheels with chrome bullet-style lug nuts.
