This Bus underwent a very nice restoration about 10-years ago, and it looks to have seen very little use since then. We acquired this bus from the previous owner who had it for about 14 years. This bus was NOT a rust bucket prior to restoration. It only had a few small rust areas that were properly repaired with new metal during the restoration. Prior to the restoration, the bus had the majority of it’s original paint. It was repainted in the correct color Velvet Green. It was a very nice, glass out paint job and still looks amazing today! All window seals were replaced at that time and are still in excellent condition. The interior was completely redone with a custom interior courtesy of ‘Sew Fine’. The headliner was also done at that time. (Interior is nearly flawless!) Aside from the beautiful cosmetic restoration, the bus also received a complete mechanical overhaul. The brakes were all gone through including wheel cylinders, master cylinders, drums turned, etc. It also received new shocks, ball joints, and loads of bushings and new wearable items. The transmission was completely rebuilt and restored, and it received a brand new 1915cc engine. The engine was built from the ground up starting with a new aluminum case, deep sump, breather, remote oil filter, alternator and serpentine belt setup, dual carb setup, etc. Since acquiring this Bus we have installed a brand new set of Dual Webber 40 carbs (Empi) with nicer hex bar linkage, a new set of narrow whitewall tires from Coker Classics, Quiet performance ceramic coated muffler, AGM battery, as well as 2 new drivers side restoration quality vent wings and seals with short factory glass. When we got the bus, the vent wings were missing and solid panel glass was installed. The absent sliding door vent wing is still on backorder. This bus comes complete with a clean TN title, and a folder with over $15,000 worth of parts receipts for the entire restoration including motor receipts, interior, carbs, tires, trans rebuild, etc, etc. This 69’ starts easy, runs beautifully, and PULLS hard! This 1915cc has loads of power and takes this baywindow down the road with ease. All lights, switches, and gauges work as they should, excellent hidden radio setup, large tach, volt meter, and clock were added by the previous owner. The underside of this bus is clean and dry with NO rot or real rust! Everything you see is dry, untouched originality with the acceptation of some newer jacking points and one small floor section that was properly welded in and sealed. This work was done 10-years ago and looks like it was done yesterday. This restoration has stood the test of time and has proven it was a good one and not covering up anything ugly like most “fresh paint jobs”.
