1993 Volkswagen EuroVan some dings

This VW Camper van has 101k miles, runs and drives. I just got this vehicle out of storage, yard-find, and it did not pass smog the first round. It is currently registered to 2018. I got it from storage and it had some mildew and I have been cleaning it out and getting the leaves out. The long-term storage could also be why it's not passing smog. I'm driving it and clearing out the old gas, running some racing fuel through it and changed the air filter, before I try again on the smog test.
I plan to drive this up from LA to Northern CA Sunday night, so can show it to interested buyers on Monday afternoon in the SF Bay Area in Point Richmond. Message me if you want to make an appointment to see it.
The headliner it ripped towards the back door and the back door isn't opening right now, but it did open a few days ago. I haven't completed the title transfer, but will be doing that in Northern California with the smog if I don't sell it first as-is. There was some mildew and mildew stains so I have been cleaning the inside with mildew/mold removers. I also burned some sage inside so there is a smokey odor, but that will clear out with more cleaning.
There are some broken pieces of plastic inside the vehicle and bumper piece missing on the right rear. It was a family vehicle, one owner. The back door opened but doesn't open now and the side door sticks a bit, but opens, closes and locks. The brakes are good, switched the brake fluid and did a brake inspection, no issues. I put in fresh oil and it drives steady, no veering on rattles. There is a tow hitch to tow a light trailer with a 2 inch ball.
The pop top raises and can be propped up, needs a spring or some maintenance, again storage issues possibly and non-use issues. Paint isn't perfect, but no major accidents from what I can tell, only a few scrapes and scratches around the body. Front left headlight unit needs some water drained from it. I've got the new bulb, but haven't taken it out to drain the water. No extra accessories for camping, this is a Country Homes Camper and they are still in business in San Diego in case you need parts.
This is not a full camping rig but has the potential to be as cool as a Westfalia since it has the pop-up roof. I like it better than the angled roofs that are high on one side and low on the other. As-is, needs some cleaning and detailing. When I got fresh oil the mechanic said it has a new AC compressor. I took it for an AC inspections and a part is broken off the filling port so have not changed the refrigerant and have an appointment with a VW mechanic to check this out further.
I replaced the air filter and there was a fair amount of dirt and debris in the casing which may have had an effect on the smog test. I will be burning through a tank of racing fuel next then I will try the smog again in a few days. It runs smooth, but a tune-up and plugs wouldn't hurt. Dashboard engine light is not on. The Gas gauge and the Cold/Heat gauge goes in and out. Next step is to start checking fuses. There seems to be a leak near the top front window when I shot window fluid onto the front. Got new blades and there is some slight rust around the front window. It shifts into all three gears and has plenty of VW power. It jerks a little in between gears at fast speeds.
The title has been signed over to me and is free and clear, but I didn't complete the transfer until I either sell it or do the smog. If I spend more on completing the smog then it will be reflected in a price difference.
This is a Great project for the right person or family. Low miles.
