For sale is a totally customized 1974 VW bus. This unit was built specifically for a birthday event and has been an amazing head turner ever since. It has been converted to a Kegerator Van. I have had so many requests to borrow/rent this unit it would be ideal for someone to buy it and turn it into a business. It has 6 keg taps coming out the side that work perfect. If you just want it for fun it drives perfect is registered and passed inspection (NYS). It would be the ultimate tailgate machine or perfect for a start up Brewery looking to get their name out there. ENGINEThe unit is fully drive-ableand passed inspection. It starts right up and runs mint. It has a 4 speed manual transmission. I have personally driven it all across long island and have never had any running issues. actual mielage is unknows as odometer doesnt seem to work correctly, but vehicle is 43 years old.
Vehicle ExteriorUnit was done with body filler primed and covered in a custom matte finish wrap. Colors are Sea foam green with a white top. It is finished with a gunmetal pinstripe. The window wraps are fully removal so you can rename the vehicle anything you want by getting a wrap made.
All the windows have been removed and replaced with all new rubber.The side and rear windows were made solid windows instead of the vent windows. I still have the original glass that will come with the vehicle.Rims and tires are brand newRear tail lights and lenses are brand newFront turn lights lenses are newFront headlights and bezels are brand newWindshield washers are brand newFront windshield and 2 sides are brand newNew gaskets for the rear engine hatch and flip up doorExtra gaskets for the slider door and front doors included (not put on)New antenna and all new door locks all re keyed to the same keyFlip up surfboard table that sits under the taps for beer cup holder.There is an LED light under the rain rail that will shine down on the taps at nightUndercarriage remote control LED changeable color lights. Interior
The inside has been 100% completely gutted. It has holes in parts of the floor pan and rust spot. Remember its a 50 year old vehicle.The original bench seats I have in storage and will all come with the unit. They were removed to make room for the keg cooling systems.The front drivers area has no door panels. No working ac heat or radio. The front windows are newly tinted and have new felt guides and new scrapers.It was gutted inside on purpose to house the kegs. It wasn't meant to carry passengers but can be converted back.
Keg SystemThe keg system uses only the finest keg components from Kegco. The system works off a 15lb air tank that is house on a bracket behind the drivers seat. There is a 6 way air distribution system to manually turn on and off any keg that needs or doesn't need air.
The cooling system consists of 2 elements and does not require any electricity at all. It was specifically designed this way so you can literally bring it anywhere and have cold beer.
There is a 7 cubic foot chest freezer that will house 4 1/6 size Kegs and then filled with ice. This will keep the kegs cool up to 48hours. Their is a drain at the bottom that attaches to a garden house to drain the water out when done.
Their is 2 red insulated coolers that house 2 1/2 kegs. These get iced as well and will hold cold up to 48hours. These 2 have drains as well.
This Van has been used recently at three separate events. The beer came out cold and with no foam. It worked flawlessly!(tap cleaning kit is included as well)
I have recently invested not including vehicle cost$6500 Body Work: to have the whole exterior smoothed over rear quarter changed out and the item primed to accept the wrap$4000 Mechanical: to get the vehicle engine brakes and all other items perfect so it can pass inspection and be a daily driver if need be.$4000 Exterior: on the customer wrap for the body and windows.$2500 Tap system: on the Keg taps, part, coolers and air distribution system$1000 on window tinting and under carriage LED lights
I have had offers to rent the vehicle (beer never included) for as much as $1000 a day for a corporate event and $500 a day for private events. I wish I had the time to turn it into a business. It could be a profitable venture. Perfect for a Concer, Football game or a Brewery...
