1971 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Super Beetle
Up for bid is this amazing 1971 Super Beetle. I just purchased this car and it drives and handles great. It's a rat ride patina by choice. The description below is from the previous owner who built this is cool car.
"It's. 1971 super beetlebuilt 1641cc motorscat big valve heads, mild scat cam dual Weber 34 downdraftspetronix electronic ignitionBosch 009 distributor, scat drag shifter, empi one piece shift coupler bushing, interior has been redone has bamboo headlinerhas CD player with aux cord. Wolfsburg edition so it has the big Wolfsburg steering wheel and rear pop out glass. Minimum rustthere is a little rust on battery tray which is super common Heater channels and pans are in great shape, heat will run you out of it p.s. Has topline coilovers from England on the front, adjustable swing arms/ grub screws in rear. Randar wheels with Porsche 356 caps, new front bumper, new front windshield and rear glass with new seals, new turn signals and tail lights (OEM hella brand) empi gt2 exhaustBosch alternator conversion. Porsche 944 rear axles, Porsche 944 front seat bar with poly bushings, euro third brake light and fog light, new tires and new brakes, new throttle cable, new gas tank, fuel sending unit, all new gas lines front to back, tinted 20% all the way around and 50% on the windshield. Headlights aftermarket with yellow tint over them. Car had clutch replaces with OEM Sachs unit when the motor was being put in and car also has freeway flyer transmission. All the rust is forced patinausing acid. I love it but I have a rabbit truck and other toys as well. Car has been to Tampa multiple times and Took home best of class for the rat class. The oil that you see on the right side of the engine is coming from a hose off the oil fill cap to the bottom of the engine. One hose from the oil cap goes to the carburetor (PVC), the other hose blows out at the bottom of engine creating what looks like a oil leak. Notice the left side is dry with no oil.
Please ask all questions before bidding and I'll do my best to answer them. I've taken good pictures of all the worst rust spots. There's rust under the battery and rear floor on drivers side.
