Description:

1970 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

1962 Yellow Volkswagen Rag Top Baja Beetle Bug

Originally rebuilt, by me, as a racing/fun Baja vehicle in the 1980s with the best of everything!

WARNING

This vehicle has been sitting OUTSIDE for about 13 years, so many parts needs to be replaced, rebuilt, or some form of attention. This bug does NOT drive, and needs a COMPLETE rebuilding and restoration if your intention is to drive it.

1971/73 floor pan is rusted, the rag top is missing its’ canvas, the 1962 Bug Body is rusted, including both driver and passenger doors, and the tires need to be replaced.

Despite its downfalls, this is still a great vehicle, and has many positive aspects.

Has many high-performance parts, including:

Lengthened and widened rear trailing arms

Widened front trailing arms

Porsche four-wheel disk brakes

VW Bus rear stub axels

Porsche 930 C/V joints and Sway-a-way axels (rubbers need to be replaced)

Sway-a-way torsion axels

VW Bus Transmission with Kennedy 2300-pound pressure plate

Long travel Sway-a-way adjustable rear torsion bars

Long travel Sway-a-way adjustable forward heavy dutylink pinleaf springs

Duel Weber Carburetors (need to be replaced)

VW Bus 2.0 Liter engine (filled with water, needs to be replaced)

High Performance Exhaust

Set up for Duel Shock absorbers in the front and rear

Type two fan shroud with Alternator (inoperable)

Front Porsche 911 Rack and Pinion heavy duty steering

4 Center-Lined 4-lug heavy duty Aluminum wheels

One piece tilting fiber glass front hood

Complete front to rear, including fuel tank, custom steel roll cage

2 Custom red and blue Master Craft racing and suspension seats

Front and rear heavy-duty skid pans

Tinted glass windows (NOT done with tint film)

For Transportation purposes, your car carrier WILL NEED A WENCH to be able to transport this vehicle because the two front tires hold air for about a minute, the passenger rear tire holds air for about 20 minutes, and the driver rear tire has holes in it and thus does not hold any air. I, the seller, am NOT paying for a new set of tires in order to transport this vehicle.
