This is 1970 Karmann Ghia Coupe.

This Karmann Ghia owes its beauty/styling to Luigi Segre of the Italian carrozeria Ghia and hand-built bodywork by the German coach builder Karmann.

The Flat-4 cylinder 1600cc engine starts right up and runs extremely well. The idle is smooth. The engine does not smoke ormake any unusualnoises. The entire drive trainis solid and tight.

The Manual Transmission shifts properly into all gears

The brakes, steering and suspension are in good working order.

Although the car has some rust (the worst part being on the passenger side inner front hood area (see pics) and various imperfections such as dings, dents, chips, scratches, scrapes, blistering, hazing, fading, nicks, the nice timeless look makes up for its flaws. The floors and jack points(perfect)are very solid with only a few spots of rust on the floors (see pics). The car is structurallysolid. Regarless of the cars other flaws the nose area (most vurnerable) is virgin and have never been hit or re-worked (see close up pics).

The overall appearance of the Karmann Ghia gets high marks for having a tremendous amount of character and patina.

The body line below the VW emblem on the nose is virtually looks virgin and straight, clear indication that this unit has not been in any major accidents.

-All emblems and trim are complete and look good.

-Original Factory Radio (inop)

-Tires all have good tread remaining....not sure of the age, we recommend replacement.

-Original owner/service manuals

-There was no trunk seal at the time these photos were taken, we have since installed on on the car

The interior has not been touched and or restored since 1970 (see photos)

-Great dash instrumentation, all gauges register accurate readings.

Due to the 5 digit odometer and the age of the vehicle odometer there is no way for us to verify the actual mileage.

This is a true European classic and is the perfect candidate to restore or leave and enjoy as it is.
