1965 (Rare) Barn Find Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
1965 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia was and is truly a unique automobile. During its time it was considered the poor mans Porsche, but in retrospect this poor man's Porsche was clearly way ahead of its time. Think about this, a car designed by world renowned coach maker Karmann who contacted Ghia, Ghia of course had worked previously with Studebaker and Chrysler, and then Ghia designed and built this beauty. The manufacturing process was unique in that to build a superior car they used butt welds that contained Pewter, this for reliability and longevity. Hence the higher price.
VW powered, yet more horse power and cubic inch displacement to give it more speed to accommodate the European styling....so Porsche fun at a VW price. There are not many of these left around with this soundness and quality for you to place your personal touch. So don't think long this should go quickly.
