Please read ""Payments" at the bottom of this listing so that you are awareof what I expect. I will not deviate from these instructions.. Period..

Selling with reluctance my 1985 VW Scirocco. I am the 2nd owner, and have owned this fine classic for about 15 years. I bought it from the 1st owner, who was a friend of mine, andhe had always been kept it garaged. The car is started monthly, and driven maybe one weekend per month. Ethanol free fuel used. I have also kept it garaged since I have owned it. It is for the most part, all original, and means no crash damage, EVER. Always a southern car, so absolutely no rust/corrosion issues. Original black paint, that looks great. I had all of the seats re-covered in black/gray when I bought it, as the drivers side bolster had a small rip when I purchased it, and I could not find an exact match of the original red bolster. Only other mods were a Techtonics "G" grind camshaft, Autotech full exhaust, Neuspeed throttle body, front strut tower, Euro headlights and bumpers (front and rear), tinted windows, rear quarter windows (from a previously owned Callaway Scirocco),and the wheels. All of these were done by myself.

Body is extremely clean, and has no parking lot/door dings. Rear hatch hydraulic struts are a little weak. 4 struts replaced last year with OE. Brakes done last year as well. All lights and signals working.

The interior is just as nice as the body. 100% crack free dash. Carpets and headliner are unworn, and clean. Everything working in the car. All dash lights, instruments, gauges, cruise control, E-brake, horn allfunction as they should. The heater and A/C is also working. A/C is not as cold as it once was, and most likely could use a small charge. You may notice the the speaker grills are missing from both the driver and passenger doors. I have them, and are stored in the glove box. They would not fit over the new speakers, and I had planned on purchasing new speakers so that the factory grills could be reinstalled, but never got around to it.

Driving the car is a complete joy. Still under 100K miles. 1.8 engine starts right up, and doesn't hiccup. Runs and drive like a brand new car. 5-speed manual works like new. No grinds or funny noises. No oil leaks. They only issue with the car is that it really needs new tires. Not because of worn tread, but due to dry-rotting. I had the car on the expressway yesterday at 75mph with no issues, but they are not really safe in my opinion, and should be replaced very soon.

Selling only to help fund a new Cayman "S". If you are local, contact me to see in person. I can help with shipping if needed, however, all associated cost to be incurred by the buyer. I can hold the car for up to, but not longer than two weeks from the end of the auction. Clear title (in my name) in my possession. If you have questions, please ask well in advance. If you need more photos, again, please ask well in advance with your email address.

Note: I have a clear South Caroline title, in my name. Ebay does not recognize my VIN, so this is it: WVWCA053CFK031640. Vin enteredaboveis not correct.

"Payments".... The winning bidder will make a non-refundable Paypal deposit into my Paypal account within 24 hrsof winning the auction. If the car cannot be picked up with 3 days from the end of the auction, I will expect the entire balance in the form of a certified bank check/money order, or cash, delivered to my home in South Caroline with 3 calendar days from the end of auction.
