1978 VW Convertible, a GREAT candidate for a Rat Rod project

1978 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

We had this car in the early 90s for a short while, then took it to a friends garage where he took it apart and replaced the whole floor. THEN we decided to repair the rust in the fenders, which we did. Then we put it in storage. 25 years later it is out of storage and ready to be turned into an awesome rat rod convertible or straightforward restoration.
I decided I'm just not going to get to it, so we're selling it. As is, where is. It'll be a great project for somebody, and we've priced it to move.
The first two photos are the car, now out of storage and wrapped next to our carriage house. The third photo is an example of what a good rat rod VW looks like, just posted for reference.

As I figured this would sell immediately to someone local, I didn't get into to it to take multiple photos knowing that someone close by would go over every square inch of it.
That said, I got emails from the Carolinas, Upstate New York and elsewhere, I will have to haul the fenders and the seats &c., to take enough pics to satisfy those further away.
That'll happen on Wednesdsay. In the mean time, it is for sale here on eBay and locally.
