For sale is a 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel L. This car isdefinitely a survivor. It was stored for the past several years. I recently drained the fuel system including tank. Installed a new battery and fresh diesel fuel. The car started up easily. It holds and keeps idle.Engine does stumble on acceleration (have one injector leaking). I'm not a mechanic I'mselling as-is. Please watch youtube video of the carwhile its running.The engine was rebuilt prior to storage (I was told). The clutch and brakes are all fine and without issues. The front end andballjoints all seem excellent and without problems. The body and undercarriage is very solid (some rusting on inner rear quarters). It does have typical nicks, dings, and scuffs here and there. It will need a marker or taillight (has cracked lens). The headliner needs to be replaced. I am selling this car with a NO RESERVE AUCTION. This is a very nice original thirty four year old car. The car does need to be paid for in full within three days of end of auction.
