Please note: * showing means new or replaced item...

I'd decided it’s time to say so long to our beloved bus this past Summer because a health problem makes it impossible for me to use the clutch properly. I also decided to get a few things fixed to make it attractive and safe for the new buyer. I got a quote of $3800.00 to replace the jacking supports and to paint the body. When the mechanic took off the belly pans to begin his job, he found that ALL the supports had been sprayed with "rust proofing" and when that was peeled back, all supports had rusted (*inner rocker panels,* outer rocker panels and *middle rocker panels, *rear outriggers, *chassis leg repair sections, *all the jacking points, the *tophat section above the outriggers, the *cross members, plus every support but the main beam needed to be replaced). At the same time I had him bring in an expert to replace the *front bay window (he found a small crack that I never noticed), the *canvas pop up top was also replaced by him (hornets got to the old up, so it's now new). *Front door rubber on both front doors, *trim for the exterior tops. *New headlights too, as the old ones were dim. *Ignition switch has been replaced and the bus now has a key to enter, and a key to start it.A *new starter has just been installed this past week, and last Autumn I had the *electrical system overhauled because it wasn't charging the *battery (one season old). So the total repair bill for this Summer instead of $3800 turned out to be $9,200! I couldn't ask him to stop and leave something undone, so this bus has *new paint, *rocker panels, *inside, *outside and *middle (chipmunks filled them with acorns) and *support braces from front to back, and new *belly pans on both sides. With the drive train having only 8000 miles on it, this bus is once again like new in all the right places. Also *brand new tires all around less than 200 miles ago. Good ones. *Exhaust is four years old. Plus many additional parts.

I purchased this bus 13 years ago at the famous Owl's Head, ME annual auto auction. At the time I purchased it the drive train had only 2000 miles on it. During the 13 years I owned it, I put only an additional 6000 miles. So as I said, only 8000 miles on the drive train and all other repairs the previous owner made on this beautiful bus.

Here is the partial list of the previous improvements: *2275CC motor with 120 HP, *dual Dellorto carburetors, *009 distributor and *alternator. Thermostatically controlled *oil cooling fans to keep it from overheating in warm weather.

*Freeway Flyer transmission for highway speeds. Shifts fine.

*New power assisted front disc brakes and wider rear drums (I added new front discs brakes a few thousand miles ago).

*A new *suspension and *sway bars. *Clutch cable.

*Alternator instead of generator (which I had replaced last Summer).

*Electric fuel pump, which can be switched off to keep someone from driving away with it.

*wood paneling (mahogany) to match the outside color.

Back to me adding things, *a new Alpine CD player with USB port, I used existing speakers, they still sound good. *cigarette lighter, *orange interior lighting in the front of cab (on button sits on front right speaker). Also new *flooring mats under the front seats.

Many more "little things" that I can't recall.

Existing options include the original and rare EXTERIOR 9X12 TENT. Put it up, drive away, pull back up to it.

REAR SCREEN-snap on, snap off.

FRONT HAMMOCK installs over front seats (see photo), TOP HAMMOCK (in new canvas tent, see photo). These photos show the "old" pop top tent. I've been waiting for a sunny day to take photo of new one, and it never came, so please note... Maine...

WATER SUPPLY- never used, unsure if it operates...

COOLER/Refrigerator -Actually just a cooler, though it looks like a 'frig...'

Original curtains also come with it. All are in good shape except the one for the driver side door. That one is torn in a couple places. Also the original owner’s manual, and a large folder of receipts will be included. Also a book of repairs and parts.

What I know is NOT working- windshield washer fluid line has a crack in it, it's otherwise working. In other words it will spray, just all over the floor... I have not ever driven it in bad weather so it slipped my mind for the repair.

The previous owner left me receipts totaling about $12,000. I've added $10,000 to the total for recent improvements. The new owner is going to have years of fun without having to do anything for repairs. It's ready to go!

Serious bidders only please. If you have less than five feed backs please contact me before you bid.
