FULL DESCRIPTION: In the following description I am trying to list most of the work that was done. I am trying to describe the vehicle as good and detailed as I can. This is a vintage vehicle "Sold AS IS".
EXTERIOR:
- Painted in dual color paint job in light blue and white. The paint job was done well. It looks very original (not too glossy). Rims and bumpers painted in white.
- New original VW emblem was purchased and installed. It is the real original emblem. These are expensive ($200) and hard to find . New chrome mirrors installed.
- New antenna installed. Chrome hub caps installed.
- New chrome parts of lights and blinkers installed.
- New sliding door rubber installed. New blinker and reflector lenses installed .
- New windshield and windshield weatherstrip installed.
- The interior of the bus was done very nicely and originally. The color combination is white, grey and black.
- Interior is complete with 3 passenger rear and 2 passenger center bench. Seats and benches are done in a nice grey fabric.
- The headliner was redone very original in white.
- The panels and the carpet are grey.
- All seat belts are the original VW seat belts.
- I did not replace them with new seat belts since theses are rare to find to be all complete in a vw bus.
- All window work and open and close fine.
- Rebuilt in 2016:Heads, piston rings, gasket set, seals rear, spark plugs, points &condenser, 87mm Pistons and cylinders.
- Brakes are good.
- Transmission shifts ok and all gears stay in gear.
- New muffler installed in 2016.
- It has a nice strong sound to it.
- Some electric was rewired.
- New gaskets and light bulbs installed .
- The bus has an original radio and speakers. Currently the radio is not connected. I thought it is the best to leave it up to the new owner how he or she would like to have the entertainment set up.
- New ignition switch installed.
- Head lights work, blinkers work, hazard lights work .
- New horn installed.
IMPERFECTIONS:
- I installed the sliding door rubber. Since then, the sliding door needs a bit help to close perfectly. It worked fine before I installed the new rubber.
- Windshield wiper engine might need to be replaced.
- I haven't done all the locks yet. My locksmith can make a key that works for all doors. Right now, I have a set of keys for the ignition. The locking mechanism seems to be fine though.
- The 1968 Volkswagen Type 2 is the first year of the T2a series (68-71), which most enthusiast desire over the T2b series, which was built from 1972 to 1979.
- The Deluxe edition has a beautiful trim chrome molding all around the bus.

4. A $1000 non-refundable deposit is required within one business day (24) hours of the auction's close. The deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable deposit are cash, bank wire transfer or paypal.
5. If winning bidder does not contact us within 24 hours and doesn't submit the deposit within one business day or 24 hours of auction close date, the vehicle may be available to the next highest qualified buyer on a first come, first serve basis.
6. We have represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.
7. We encourage the buyer to have a personal inspection completed prior to buying to help ensure the satisfaction. Third party inspections are to are to take place prior to a buying on this vehicle
8. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure.

10. Final of winning bid price does not include shipping, tag, title, or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses.
11. We can assist you in getting the vehicle to the transport truck driver of your choice in San Diego. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is shipped.
