1970 VW Beetle Karmann Convertible Yellow Rides And Drives Great Many New Parts

1970 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Karmann

I am listing this car for my father. Please call him at 785/ 817-2228 with any questions. I will answer messages to the best of my ability. 1970 VW Karmann Beetle convertible. The car runs, rides and drives very well. Please see all photos. Here are some details.
Exterior- The body is straight, but has surface rust as shown.Doors, hoood and trunk lid function properly. Top goes up and down easily and has an "L" shaped rip on the back RH side which can be repaired. No other top issues. Rear bumper has a dent. All glass is very nice, windows function properly. All trim is nice and present except for the driver's rear 1/4 piece. It is bent. NEW running boards.
Engine- 1600 (1.6L) rebuilt 10 years ago and never started. The engine was recently started with a carburetor rebuild, new fuel tank, fuel pump and a complete service. I drove this car yesterday, it starts immediately and runs very well.It does leak a bit of oil. Good exhaust.
Transmission- Stock 4 speed shifts easily. Clutch engages properly. Very smooth.
Drivetrain, Chassis- New Kumho tires, new shocks, tie rods and brakes this month. Solid riding and driving car!
Interior- Dash, steering wheel and gauges are good. Speedometer and turn signals work properly. Door panels and front seats are good. Rear seat has a tear in the center. Carpet is there but not beautiful.Floors are rusty behind rear seats.
