This car has been very well maintained both cosmetically and mechanically through the years. We have an extensive stack of receipts for work performed dating back to the early 1990s. Many of our photos of this classic '78 Volkswagen Super Beetle were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom. Be sure to visit the historic flight museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. The exterior underwent an extensive refinish of the original red back in 1996 and is in excellent condition today. All of the glass, rubber seals, and body panels show well. There are only a few minor imperfections to note. There is a pencil eraser sized bubble at the bottom edge of the driver's side door. Open the doors to 1978. The interior is in great shape. The black vinyl seating shows well left and right as does the rear seat. The factory AM/FM radio is in place too. All of the glass and seals are in great shape. The convertible top has an excellent fit and is in excellent condition. The engine has had a recent tune-up and carburetor installed. This powerplant runs out smooth. The valves were adjusted as well. The trunk area is clean and detailed, storing the car cover, convertible top boot, and bra. The undercarriage shows well front to back. The belly pan is in good shape and appears original throughout. The front suspension received a rebuild and updated polyurethane bushings (see photos above). We hope you enjoy our remaining photos.
